The Bettendorf Public Library gives you access to a world of information from home! With your Bettendorf Public Library card, you can use the Library from anywhere you have an internet connection, at any time.
- Downloadable Audiobooks: Download audiobooks to your home computer, then transfer them to an mp3 player to bring your books with you wherever you go.
- Online Databases: It's late and you just remembered your term paper is due tomorrow. Or perhaps you're trying to track down the names of human resources managers for your job search. Maybe you just have a nagging trivia question that needs an encyclopedia? All of these resources and more are available here.
- Online Tutoring: Online tutors are waiting from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to help with math, science, English and Social Studies. You can also get help with building a resume, studying for a Citizenship test or the Ged, or get a document reviewed by a live English tutor.
- Learn A Foreign Language: Come into the Library to sign up for Byki, an online language learning service. Once your account is set up, which takes less than a minute, you can learn over 70 languages from the comfort of your own home.
- Find Career and Job Hunting Info: Services that will help you update your resume, research companies, and hone your skills for employment exams.
- Find a Good Book: Get book recommendations from staff, bestseller titles, information on book discussion groups and samples of books weekly .to your email
