Get ready to cozy up this winter! The Library is thrilled to announce our Winter Reading Program: Books, Blankets, and Bliss. Starting January 6 and wrapping up February 15, this year’s Winter Reading Program includes challenges for all ages, a chance to win gift cards, special programs, and a way to help those in need warm up during the cold winter months. Early online registration opens December 30, and in-person registration will be available at the Library starting January 6.

The Challenges:

  • Read-To-Me Challenge: Finish 30 Books
*The Read-To-Me Program is for children who mostly listen to stories or read short stories. If they listen to a story or read
a small book, that counts as one book.
  • Reader Challenge: Read 360 Minutes
*The Reader Program is for children who are reading mostly independently. As always, parents can decide what is
appropriate for their children and what they want to count as reading.
  • Teen (Grades 6-12) Challenge: Read 1,000 Minutes
  • Adult Challenge: Complete 3 of 6 Activities
*The activities include reading/listening to a book on Libby, watching content on Kanopy, donating a blanket to the
Bettendorf Rotary Club’s Blanket Drive (a dropbox is available within the Library), reading a book, attending an event at the Library, and/or reading a newspaper or magazine online or in print.
