  • 100% of your donation goes directly to the Library’s programs and services thanks to the John Deere Foundation, which covers all administrative costs.

Help Us Drive Outreach Services Forward!

Not everyone residing in the City of Bettendorf can conveniently - or physically - visit the library, which is why we are excited to announce the Foundation’s newest initiative - an Outreach Vehicle! This vehicle will allow the Bettendorf Public Library Outreach Team to bring books, resources, and programming directly to the community. Your support can help us reach this goal and ensure that everyone in our community has access to the resources they need.

An outreach vehicle would expand programming to:

  • Schools
  • Seniors living in care facilities
  • Homebound residents
  • Pop-ups at local parks, businesses, neighborhoods, and more!
     

Your donation will directly contribute to the purchase and outfitting of this vehicle. Exciting vehicle features include:

  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Library card registrations
  • Family-friendly games & activities
  • Rotating collection of materials for checkout

The Need for Expanded Library Services in Our Community

Did you know the city of Bettendorf has experienced a population growth of 39% since the Library's current location was established? The library’s current location – 2950 Learning Campus Drive - was established in May 1995.  According to data from the 1990 Census, the population at that time was 28,139. According to the 2020 Census, it was 39,102! With the increased population and new housing developments in the north and east sections of the city, the library is not as accessible or convenient to our residents as it was in the nineties.  The addition of an outreach vehicle is the most cost-effective way to expand library services in our community.
